Yes, you're right Petr. I realised the mistake as soon as I pressed send, and knew someone would pick up on it. You get a bag of imaginary jelly beans for the being the one.

I'm not after euphemisms, as much as useful phrases that occur often enough that students should be aware of them as stock phrases. In other words, the phrase means a little more than the sum of its parts.

Hm, isn't it rather "שָׁמַע בְּקוֹל XY"?

(To Your, question, I know of no such a list. If You were interested in euphemisms only, there is a book in German by Stefan Schorch)
