I am struck by the author's choice of verbal forms in Gen 17:19. In describing the forthcoming event of Sarah's bearing a son, the author uses a feminine participle instead of a yqtl. What, in your opinions, is the exegetical significance of this--if there is any. Is the sense something like: Sarah is a bearer for you...Or is there no real difference semantically between the use of the participle here and the use of a yqtl?
