Hello all,

Apologies for the cross-posting. If you know anyone who may be
interested in a new Biblical Hebrew self-study group (for beginners)
please pass along this message. They can email me privately or join
the list and stay-tuned for details:

Many thanks.

Subject: New Beginner's Biblical/Classical Hebrew Group?
To: selfstudyhebrew at yahoogroups.com

Hello friends,

Seeing that the's no current beginner's group (the Weingreen group is
close to chapter 30), is there interest in starting a new beginner's
group? I would be willing to facilitate one using Menahem Mansoor's
Biblical Hebrew: Step by Step Volume. 1 (Baker Book House; 2nd
edition, August 1999) One of my objectives would simply be to
experience the book (I've used the second volume [a reader with
exercises], and in my opinion it's pedagogically right on!).

If there's interest -- and if it's practical -- I'd propose starting
some time shortly after the Jewish holidays (i.e., after Oct. 22).

Please let me know on or off list if there's interest.
