       By the time this interpretation of the divine name was given, its original
  meaning had been forgotten. That the interpretation is later than the name
  can be derived from the spelling of the verb: HYH in standard Hebrew vs. the
  Aramaic HWH. This could point to the traditional Northern origin of the
  ancestors who brought the name with them to the WS Canaanite/Hebrew
