I would also like to know where that passage comes from. I might not be a
scholar, but I know that I've never caught the word weal anywhere in my
human existance. I'm glad someone else said something (thanks Captain Kirk).
I just didn't want to sound uneducated. Could we have an explaination?

No, I don't recall it. There is nothing in my Bible about God making red 
marks on my skin. This isn't even in KJV. What is it, Wyclif? What do 
you mean? Please use English or Hebrew, not some obsolete form of 
English which I don't understand.
