When a sacrifice was made, The New Oxford Bible states Nu. 28:2 it
reaches as "my pleasing odor." Likewise, incense and prayers from earth
reached God. New Oxford Bible: Rev. 8:3-5; see also Acts 10:4. Sacrifices
may be a restful odor the same as we may enjoy food cooking odors from
the kitchen. But, Nu. 28 and Rev. show a deeper insight.
