sequentials and tense...

dear b-haverim,
best wishes to you all for the new (gregorian) year....

i realized that if i'm right about the sequentials, this adds a major
typological argument in favour of Hebrew tense: this is the behaviour of
tense-mood interaction, and not aspect. hmmm, have to think about it...

at any rate, i thought this may be a good time to rewrite my doctoral work
for a popular audience, with the IOUs cashed in. the original has proved
too technical for any publisher to touch. <sigh>
