Iver and George,

Another way of framing the question, bringing it back within the parameters of this forum.
Would "reverential respect" generate a physical response Eph. 6:5 META FOBOU KAI TROMOU ... hWS TWi CRISTWi. It seems to me that physical shaking is not generally associated with reverence. Is Paul indulging in hyperbole?

1Cor. 2:3 κἀγὼ ἐν ἀσθενείᾳ καὶ ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἐν τρόμῳ πολλῷ ἐγενόμην πρὸς ὑμᾶς,
1Cor. 2:3 KA)GW EN ASQENEIAi KAI EN FOBWi KAI EN TROMWi POLLWi EGENOMHN PROS hUMAS,

TROMOU Louw&Nida
to shake or tremble, often with the implication of fear and/or consternation — ‘to tremble, trembling, to quiver, to shake.’
