So true. I've been drooling over the book for at least a year and a half...

And its seems to be on permanent check out by a professor at the closest library that has it!

There is a review of Cambridge University's "History of Ancient Greek"
posted on RBL's website:

I certainly agree with this statement:
"The greatest weakness is the price; this will keep the book out of
reach for most people. Given its value not just as an encyclopedia for
research libraries but as a useful, regular reference for Greek language
classes, Cambridge University Press must find a way to release this book
in some form at one-sixth of the original retail price."

At $299.00, I can only drool...
