I am about to ship a new version of the WURFL library. Before
I did that, I thought it was a good idea to upgrade from
xom-1.0d25.jar to xom-1.0a2.jar

I also assumed this to be safe. Unfortunately, here is what I get:

compileapi:
[javac] Compiling 8 source files to C:\projects\wurfl\antbuild\build
[javac]
C:\projects\wurfl\antbuild\src\net\sourceforge\wurfl\wurflapi\Wurfl.
java:320: cannot resolve symbol
[javac] symbol : class ParseException
[javac] location: class net.sourceforge.wurfl.wurflapi.Wurfl
[javac] } catch (ParseException ex) {
[javac] ^
[javac]
C:\projects\wurfl\antbuild\src\net\sourceforge\wurfl\wurflapi\Wurfl.
java:579: cannot resolve symbol
[javac] symbol : method preserveBaseURI (boolean)
[javac] location: class nu.xom.Serializer
[javac] serializer.preserveBaseURI(false);
[javac] ^
[javac] 2 errors

Can someone tell me what's wrong and which changes are impacting my build?

I saw all the discussion about the baseURI, but I have to confess
I didn't pay it much attention. Can I remove
the serializer.preserveBaseURI(false) line without problems?

What about ParseException?

thanks

Luca
