FRED WEINBERG, "The Weinberg Method of Non-Synthetic Electronic Rock" on
the Inside Track, Wednesday 9 p.m.
Fred Weinberg's 1970 masterpiece forms a cornerstone of electronic music
in the U.S. Weird, spacy pling-plong lounge action from the early days of
synthesizer experimentation. Reissued on QDK Media/Normal records. (This
program has been rescheduled from a previous date).

EPIC NEIL YOUNG on the Thursday Night Feature, Thursday 9 p.m.-midnight
This week's TNF will focus primarily on Neil Young's "epic-length" tunes
from the '70s, perhaps with a few favourites from the '60s, '80s and '90s
tossed in.

MURCOF, "Martes" on the Inside Track, Friday 9 p.m.
Digital clickery inspired by modern classical music from Mexico's Fernando
"Murcof" Corona. Violin and piano samples blend with electronic
manipulation to create a noir-ish, brooding, minimal-yet-orchestral
work. On the UK's Leaf Records.

NEW ORLEANS JAZZ on Hell or High Water, Sunday 1-2 p.m.
This week Hell or High Water will bring you a taste of N'awlins from the
vaults of the Southern Folklife Collection. Although a mere hour can't
encompass all the jazz New Orleans has to offer, we'll try to present a
taste of everything -- from the genre's early manifestations to brass
bands and Dixieland.

A discussion of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE on Northern Hemisphere Live, Sunday 5-7
pm.
This Sunday on NHL, Melissa Averette of DVC legal services will be in the
studio discussing topics relating to domestic violence. DVC Legal Services
is an organization that represents indigent domestic violence victims in
Orange and Chatham counties, and it is the only private non-profit
organization that represents victims in the state of NC. Founded in 2000
with the help of a federal grant under the auspices of the Violence
Against Women Act, their operations may be significantly reduced if they
are not awarded the grant this year.

PETER BROTZMANN TRIO, "For Adolphe Sax" on the Inside Track, Monday 9 p.m.
Prolific German-born saxophonist Peter Brotzmann plays in the Alber Ayler
tradition of wailing, screaming improvisation. This classic 1967 EP has
been reissued on the Atavistic label.

Also this week and every week:
-THE INSIDE TRACK: a new release played in full Monday, Wednesday and
Friday, 9 p.m.
