I guess you heard about the Linguist List's project? They raised some
money during their fundraiser and they will use it to pay people to
improve linguistics articles in English Wikipedia.

Your last sentence doesn't make sense. :)
With any luck we will get GFDL --> GSFDL == CC-BY-SA.

Also, read the page I linked to -- they are not writing articles in
the same way Wikipedia is. Although definitely crossing appropriate
material over would have been useful.
