Hi Wheatsville friends!

Sorry about the subject line... still feeling the residual effects of the O'Henry pun off last weekend!

Ralf, our produce manager extraordinaire, wanted me to be sure to tell you that we have loads of organic berries for your enjoyment this weekend and that we've seen the prices come down some!

We have:
Organic Strawberries- a pound for $3.99, 8.8 ounces for $2.19
Organic Raspberries, a half pint for $3.99
We've also got organic blueberries and blackberries!

You'll also find other flavors of the season:
Organic Watermelon
Organic seedless grapes
Texas Peaches-
the first batch a few weeks ago were great!
Organic Mexican peaches- These have gotten really good reviews; I know they smell amazing!

Remember, we never refrigerate our stone-fruit (like peaches) so usually ours taste better than the fruit at the other stores. But because we let them ripen, you should plan to eat them soon!

We also have all the other thinks you might be looking for to have a nice Memorial Day picnic or grill-out!

For grilling
Natural and organic ground beef
Wild line-caught salmon
All Natural Applegate Hotdogs
Buddy's Natural Chicken Breasts and sausages

Co-op Advantage special for the grill and picnics include:
Boca Vegetarian Burgers
Lightlife Smart dogs
Rudi's Organic Burger and Hot Dog Buns

While not an item for grilling, I do want to make a special note that Bionaturae organic pasta is on sale this month. If you haven't tried this pasta, you are missing out! It is toothsome and delicious and their whole wheat variety is out of sight! I generally try to buy products that are made closer to home, but I make an exception for Bionaturae pasta. This is the perfect kind of item to stock up on while it's on sale.

Co-op Advantage specials are good until the last day of May, so if there are special items that you like, you better get 'em soon! (Specials for June will be available on June 1st!)
Also, this is your last week to use your Co-op Advantage coupons that came in the mail. They are only good through May 31st, so take advantage of that, too!

I was debating on telling you this, but we're pretty excited about it, so I figured, what the heck?
Our fiscal year ends this Wednesday May 31st. We are very close to hitting annual sales of $7,000,000. I think that we as a staff would be really excited to beat that number. But, the last week of May is notoriously slow around here and we may not do it. If we don't, we'll come dang close and that will be great, but if we could hit it we would be very happy! So, I'm not asking you to do anything about this, and you should feel no pressure whatsoever. But if you are inclined to help us push past $7,000,000 this year, the next 5 days are the time to do it. Do a little Co-op Advantage stock up, maybe? Come for lunch with a couple of friends? Buy that water filter you've been eyeing?

So, anyway, I hope you don't mind my sharing that... I thought that you might be interested and those of you who like challenges might like to play along! We actually are having a little internal contest to guess the total sales for year to add a little fun to it all!
Whatever happens, we had an amazing year and i thank you for your continued patronage. We (quite literally) couldn't do it without you!

Have a super weekend!

Dan
