The announcement was for a release in June, but the ISO you have notes
for is from January, according to the release name. Are you able to try
the newer release? The newer release would be x86_64-20090608.

Thanks for testing! I'm not sure if quinq was able to squash all the
bugs you mentioned in his newer release, but hopefully he did and you
will have less to report. :-)
