Probably an IDE device driver for your motherboard. Check the diff
between /usr/src/linux-2.6.8.1/.config and /usr/src/linux-2.6.17.1/.config.

You may want to copy the .config from 2.6.8.1 into 2.6.17.1/.config and
then run `make oldconfig` to update the .config file to 2.6.17.1.
