I was also trying to avoid what I felt would be the inevitable outcome of
just
removing the depends espgs line -- a series of bugs claiming cups needs espgs
in order to work correctly (or pleas for help wondering why it didn't work).
Even with the text in the cups and espgs spells right now, there are still
people who claim it doesn't work and have to be told how to do it correctly.
