How about having the installer decide (based on how you format your
partitions) which of e2fsprogs, reiserfsprogs and xfsprogs to install.
Immediately after an install I dispel reiserfsprogs and xfsprogs.

netkit-telnet, traceroute and minicom can be useful for debugging purposes
(or dialing in to BBSes :), but I don't think they necessarily should be
installed. How about including the sources for these.

I don't see much of a need for uudeview on the base install. Why is
libpng in this list, it seems strangely out of place. I don't see any of
these spells when I do a 'gaze depends libpng' on my system.
