Hi,
I started at Cali, then I moved to Popayan, to Volcano Puracé with Termales San Juan.
Then we visited near Torremolinos some different rainforest places and El Refugio ( Dr. EDUARDO CALDERON SAENZ- http://elrefugionatura.jimdo.com/) went to Calima Lake and then to Armenia with Cocora Valley .
Over eastern Cordilliera we drove to Bogota.
I saw a lot of orchids, also Plerothallidinae, in situ, some flora and fauna from Andes. Just marvelous !
I should make a tent under each second tree and would stay there ! :-)
Regards
Andreja

Hi Sebastian and all the others,

yes, I visited your beloved Colombia in 2008, it was really worth, beautiful and
seductive!
I can only confirm : "El peligro es que te quieras quedar", or in english "The risk is wanting to stay" is true ! ;-)
Best regards
Andreja

Hi Everybody... here is a small sampler of Restrepia I have photographed here in Colombia:

You are all welcome to visit my Country, I am based in Medellín and I go out to he forests exploring for orchids at least once a month. If you know where to go (and there is plenty of safe places to explore), there is much more risk of finding a new species of orchid than getting kidnapped. -- That is why our country's slogan is "El peligro es que te quieras quedar", or in english "The risk is wanting to stay".

Best regards,
