Rancho Margot near Arenal, in CR.
They have a good array of permaculture and appropriate technology inventions
to support a community, resort, restaurant and dormitory for WWOOFers,
students and lower income travelers. It is truly gorgeous there. There were
several WWOOFers when I was there and I fell in love with the place. The hot
water is heated through the compost bins, there is a beautiful river and
swimming area with a large diverted swimming area with compost heated water.
There are local people employed teaching sustainable technologies to the
students who come.

in Panama and Costa Rica

Hi Alan,

I have never been to this place, but I have had students who went to Rancho
Matatal, and had a great time. They seem very well organized, and have great
green building skills. In Costa Rica.

Bocas del Toro in Panama had a permaculture project, but i have not heard of
it in a whie and forgot the name of the place

Punta Mono is another place that is well known for its fruit selection, on
the Atlantic side of Costa Rica.

Good luck!

Christopher
