Tons of experiences. The notion is constant for me, and a matter of semantics
defined by one's cultural programming.

As far as published works that espouses theory justifying such ideas: john
lovelock is the one who pioneered Gaia as an academic (post-enlightenment
occidental) concept. He has a written a few books on the topic. If you want
to go further into the rabbit hole i strongly recommend anything by fritjof
capra. He's a particle physist / systems theorist made famous by his book
linking oriental spiritual concepts to 20th century discoveries in physics.
He is hellbent on reforming that Cartesian assumption that spirit and matter
/ mind and body are seperate, an leading to a fixation on understanding the
parts and disregarding the whole, of which has been reigning for ages as the
only valid scientific approach.

I've had once an experience in the polders of the Netherlands, where I felt
the whole river-delta system of the Netherlands was an 'entity' on its own.
(And No, I wasn't taking anything at the time).

So the idea that "everything in existence has a consciousness" or "everything
in existence is alive" does not seem too far fetched for me.

This may be hard to prove, but not nearly so hard to understand if one
observes closely or experiences Nature deeply.

Anyone have other experiences about this to share?

Daniel
