I'd love to see the survey results. That's been my impression, too: about 1/3
of the participants make major career changes or improvements. I've also
noticed that although a modest number of people have concerns about the cost
at the beginning of a PDC, our end-of-course evaluations show that number
goes down to about 1 in 40 by the end, and most people say it has given their
lives new direction (like my first PDC did).

That kinda squelches those silly tales of PDCs being a pyramid scheme trying
to recruit more PDC teachers. The most common career outcome I've seen is
that about 25% of the graduates start (or continue) doing design work. Maybe
1 in 10 starts a farm or related plant business. About 1 in 20 does some
teaching; about 1 in 100 does extensive teaching.
