I keep encountering situations where some cement would fix things right up.
But I seem
to recall that cement is bad for the environment. Anybody know what problems
cement causes?

you know what I need clarification here. Cement is the bonding agent that holds together the aggregates.

Concrete is the combination of aggregates and cement.

The total life cycle process involving cement (the bonding agent), digging the lime stone, firing the limestone, crushing, bagging, transportation, placement, and later disposal is responsible for approximately 8% of global warming. The new Artic Report on global warming should make all of us reassess our use of materials and petrochemicals in our lives. Scott Pittman
