hello,
i dont know how hot the area you are trying to put your sheep in is, but a farm i stayed on in hawaii had hair sheep.  they have hair like a goat, but dont graze the hell out of everything like a goat does.  that may be a good option.  but there will be no wool, and i dont know about meat or milk.  i presume they are meat sheep though.  i think they were called st. croix sheep, some caribbean island name anyway.  is your area humid?  i always imagined the most shade i could have would be best for my sheep given it didnt get to a level that totally shaded out the pasture.  but in wisconsin it isnt so damp that you have to worry about them drying out as you may in other places.  its pretty dry, then it rains, then its dry again.  maybe running some chickens and geese with teh sheep would be a good idea too.  the chickens will eat worms out of the sheeps manure, so that will help with keeping them worm free and the geese may be able to help with grazing the grass and could be easier and cheaper to get and get rid of if overgrazing becomes an issue.  the guy that said sheep is an intensive practice was correct.  but i menat only with moving the electric fence, bringing water, etc.  i have never dipped my sheep, try to do worming with chckens and vermicidal/etc plants.  milking would change everything though.  samm
