Hola Georg,

>> the big project left for us is: how to get there from where we are now?

When we first moved out onto the land we used the state's food assistance
program - which in the US carries a bit of a stigma. We needed every penny
of it and while we were in that mode I worked on the land just about every
day and made great progress. There were probably other assistance programs
for us to get involved with that we didn't know about.

Then when I took a full time job an hour away in the city, work on the land
slowed to a crawl, but we needed car insurance, health insurance and to pay
our property taxes.

The other great hurdle I see is that most folks can't get along well enough
or agree on what they want enough to get themselves out of the system.
