The Second Coming is where I "discovered" Percy, so it's a sentimental favorite.  But also, as a psychotherapist, I like the treatment of Allie and of Will's struggles with their demons.

It is most difficult to pick my favorite.  However, one day when I was visiting the Percy's store, the former Kumquat in Covington, I was asked by his daughter (having met me on more than one occasion and knowing that I had corresponded and visited her father in the recent past) which was my favorite novel?  I instantly said it was The Moviegoer.  She asked why and I replied that it was clean, simple and elegant -- like a clear piece of cut crystal.  She seemed to like this response and she said it was her favorite also.
