Thanks, Stuart.  After reading the correspondence, the question of Two Gates was preying on me mind. Now, I can put it to rest.

He is not working on Two Gates. After, basically, three attempts over the years, he gave up a few years ago. A couple of years ago, he told me that he had only been able to put 60 pages together for the book.

Does anyone know if he's still working on the big project he wrote to Percy about throughout the last 25 or so years of their correspondence?  The working title of it was TWO GATES TO THE CITY.
