I will mercilessly criticize, test and break any and all front ends... ;-)

Remember that we are planning to make it possible for diverse folks to
(eventually) design diverse front ends for the DB.

Initially I think we had been talking about a single, simple,
browser-independent front end/UI that would let us use and test the back
end as it is developed. Simple search form, advanced search form if
appropriate/desired, and simple listing(s) of data returned.
That is my preference at this point, anyhow.
Once there is more back end and at least part of an API to work with, some
of the front ends can start to get more sophisticated.

"User Interface" is a pretty broad term. It is also not (necessarily)
synonymous with "front end."
I think it would be good to re-clarify these areas of the project at this
point and then go from there...
