Actually it's a bug tracking system like Bugzilla. John S. was
interested in it.

I found the interface quite intuitive, but that's me.... I will post
good howto docs if I run across them. One thing that is optional but
helpful is to learn STX (structured text) which is the markup language
for plone. You can also use plain text or html, but stx is pretty
powerful, intuitive, and fast. This is a pretty good howto
<http://plone.org/documentation/howto/UsingStructuredText>. Actually,
the whole first section of <http://plone.org/documentation/howto> is
pretty good info for learning how to use it.

Actually I think it's best to start stuff including news articles in
'my folder' (your user folder). If you are in your folder there will
be a selection box of different things to add as well as an 'add new
item' tab. The 'state' tab is the way to make something happen. You
can 'make private' which hides it, 'submit' which allows someone with
a 'reviewer' role review and approve or reject, 'publish' which
automagically puts news on the news page for example. Documents that
you create should either be started in the documents folder or be cut
and pasted there. Currently putting things up for review is optional
because everyone can publish by themselves. I haven't created a
workflow that would require us to have our material proofread by each
other before it went live, although you can see how this might be a
good idea at some time.
