That's too bad. I used to teach there. Alan Rissberger and Shelia Wilkerson taught the AP Environmental Science course and I would think they would be very open to the idea as well as other staff still there that I knew.

Rob,
Yes, NC's participation in this program is sponsored by the NC
Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services and a good many local
beekeepers are enrolled, including me. An article that tells all about
it and how to register is <here

Yes, my personal hives and the OCBA demonstration hives at Carrboro High School are registered. I think this is a great tool.

The Chapel Hill High School has stated that they do not want to have bees on their property or to have a pollinator garden on their property. So any advice on how to explain to staff and the Lincoln Center that this really doesn't present a safety issue?
Thanks,

Wow that is seriously sad!
They use to have bees back in late 80's & early 90's.
Id say reach out to a senior enviro club or science club. They should help bring this forward.
Never heard saying no to plants. Did they give a reason?

You may have a difficult time at this school with just about any project as
the current administration there basically says "no" to just about every
idea. In a couple years there may be a new admin and you could retry then
would be my suggestion.
