Hey Rob,
--
Glad to see you still have a hive going. Hopefuly you are now an expert at doling out the syrup in the fall.
The ocassional dead pupa is nothing to be worried about. If the front porch is piled high, then we have a problem. In between, we get curious.
I always get a charge out of watching for pollen colors. And when you get a frame with a lot of different colors stored across the comb, it can bee pure art.
Cheers, Brad Kosiba

I have a lot of activity in my hive with a pretty healthy population that seems to have survived the winter. The pollen that was coming into the hive yesterday was a dark green pollen and also a light yellow pollen. There was definitely more of the dark green pollen coming in then the yellow. There was some housekeeping going on with a dead pupae left on the landing board of the hive. Is that a sign of trouble or just someone who didn't make it? There was only one.Rob Crook
