Yes, a screened back porch would be perfect! Short of that, a tub (or similar) covered with a towel should also provide the same protection while allowing the contents to "breathe".

By "back porch" temperature Randall means "screened back porch". If you
leave the combs outside unprotected you will come back to find that the
bees have moved the honey back into the hive.

Lori,

Remove it from the fridge and let it warm up to room temperature before
uncapping. Even better than room temperature today would be back porch
temperature. :-) I would expect any condensation to dry after a while as
it warms, no problem at all. Give it plenty of time and plenty of
ventilation (don't seal the comb up in an airtight container).

You'll want it nice and warm before attempting to extract anyway. Warm
honey comes out of the comb easily; cool honey does not.

Have fun!

Hey fellow Beekeepers.
How can I prevent condensation on capped honey. We have stored it in
the fridge and are now ready to extract. Any tips or suggestions on how
to do this?
