I believe Don Hopkins, our bee inspector, would much rather go out on a false alarm than miss a real infection. This is why the state hired him.  Just call and ask him to come out.

Subject: [ocba] Worried about this hive

We were in our hive today and this is what I saw.  These bees were a very strong colony in the mountains this spring.  We moved them to our site in Orange County in July and they have been declining since.  I hate to be an alarmist but It kinda looks like foulbrood.  Just want a little confirmation.  Can someone come over and take a look?
