Hi Everyone,
Is this something the club would be interested in participating in? It sounds a lot like Butterfly Bash, but with a larger display and an opportunity to sell your products. Let me know as soon as possible so we can start planning.
Thanks,
Becky

Hello-

As you may have already heard, the theme for BugFest this year is bees! We would really love for the NC Beekeepers Association and several of the county associations to be extra involved in this year's event, which will take place September 20th. We have decided to dedicate a section of the outdoor portion of the event just to bees. The bee area will be on one quarter of the Capitol Grounds (for those of you that have attended BugFest in the last couple of years, it will be the area formerly known as the Garden Zone). We would like to fill this area as much as possible with bee information, crafts, and activities! We are interested in having information on keeping honey bees, threats to honey bees, the importance of bees as pollinators, native bees, and anything else we can think of.

We would like to one large tent on the Capitol Grounds dedicated to sales of bee related products. This could include bee keeping supplies, honey, and beeswax. We know there are probably multiple members of your associations that would like to sell their products, so if you are interested, we would prefer if each county association organized a sales table for their members.
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or ideas! I'd be happy to discuss anything you might be interested in doing for the event.

Thanks so much,
Liz Jones
