Ernest, if turns out it's not a Norland, I just hope it's hardy enough for your area. You really never can tell with some of this labelling (trust me I've been there!)

I bought a Norland apple tree this spring. Norland is a zone 2 big
round apple. My tree has six apple on it which are elongated and do
not look like Norland apples. Don't know how reliable fruit tree IDs
are especially when they are just tied to a branch. If this apple
turns out to be OK I will not complain very much. I am happy to get
any fruit I can grow.
