In Doctors Brenda and Bill Reid's book, "Fruit and Nut Production" they say
the following about stink bugs which does now to include the Marmorated
Stink Bug.

Monitor orchards for any of these bugs damage, or weeds including weeds
that can harbor these bugs. Control such including mulleins, docks,
mustards,
plantains, milkweed's, mallows, morning glories, thistles, and vetches
around and in the orchard. If such weeds are present check around their
bases in
early spring for any of the species which can caused damage in past years
and appy insecticide if you find five or more bugs in an acre block.

Although they were talking about controlling stink bugs in pear orchards
the same would hold true for pecan. Wes Rice's book, "Pecans, a Growers
Perspective", agrees.
