Looking at our young peach trees in bloom and thus a-buzz, I called my husband over. "Aren't those honeybees?" I asked.

We examined them closely, and realized they were, indeed, honeybees. We are delighted and thankful.

On the plus side, perhaps their agreements with the growers also
include rules about not harvesting under-ripe and such, so maybe they
will keep the quality high.

Unfortunately all of us will have to wait until the variety is no
longer
under patent before it can be obtained for backyard growers.

Does anyone know if trees/scionwood of this variety is available

It is really quite good (and as its own website www.jazzapple.com

Do the orange orchardists rent bees? Are you seeing wild or rented bees?

What legal protection is there for them after the patent expired? The
only thing I can see is if they find a plant older than the patent
expiration date.
