Honeycrisp does very well here in western Washington too.  Check out the attached picture.  I just pulled a Honeycrisp out of a sack in the unheated garage today and it was still crisp and quite good.  Not a good as the day they were picked off the trees but still very good.

I only discovered Honeycrisp this year and it was entirely due to the coloring. Some of the most beautiful apples I've ever seen. They were the most bizarre mottled green and red. I swear I stood gaping at them in the store until people were nudging me to move along.
