The Early Italian Plum is in my opinion one of the earliest bloomers
out there. They tend to start off quite small and grow into large
solid stock, which is perfect for grafting into larger orchards. The
ideal specimen all-round. With proper care and maintenance, you can
expect strong rooted trees, that will not falter in storms.

They are very diesese resistant (esp. fr .growing bean vines, wheat
germ bacteria)

Always remember to use Roundup to keep away any unwanted bushes from your
trees.

I am considering ordering a Fellenberg or perhaps an Early Italian plum for
next year. Does anyone have any experience with these that would help me
make a decision? Is the only difference the date of ripening, or are there
significant differences in taste(fresh eating), freestoneness, or disease
resistance? Which is bigger or firmer? Any comments about your experience
with them would be welcome.

Also, any opinions on "President" plum?
