Hi,

Some people enjoy taking the fun and flavor out of eating. I have family members who don't have a single "whole food" in their refrigerator.

If it isn't decaffinated, calorie reduced, fat free, artificially sweetened and flavored, you will not find it in their home.

They think they are doing themselves some giant favor.

If I figure out the "favor", I'll let you know.

Later,
Tom

US researchers have developed a transgenic apple tree which bears
fruits sweetened with sorbitol.

US researchers have developed a technique which reduces the calories
in an apple by about one half. With the help of genetic engineering,
they changed the metabolism of apple trees, so they would store
sorbitol instead of fructose in the fruit.
