I've lost count. I've had them for at least 15 years, that I remember. They quit just about when apples finish up blooming. There is no second generation with my bees. They just hatch, make new nests, and that's it until next spring.

Lon,
How many generations of bees do you have? I bought mason bees last spring. Mine hatched and were busy gathering pollen and laying eggs in the bee house. They especially liked my rosemary. After completing the egg laying, the mason bees have not bee seen in my garden. The second generation has not emerged from their nests. Do you see mason bees throughout the growing season?
