Hi There,

I would recommend:

Thiessen - Large, up to 17mm (7/10") diameter, good flavor, blooms 1
week earlier than other cultivars, ripens unevenly which is
good for U-pick. Suckers. Can grow to 16' if left to do so

Martin - Seedling of Thiessen, Large, up to 18mm (7/10") diameter,
good flavor, ripens more evenly and blooms later, suckers
less than Thiessen. Can grow to 16' if left to do so.

Northline - Large, up to 16mm (6/10") diameter, excellent flavor,
productive.

Honeywood - Medium, up to 15mm (6/10") diameter, good flavor, blooms
a few days later than other cultivars. Grows to about 8'.
Very little suckering.

Smokey - Medium, up to 14mm diameter, excellent flavor, closest to
the 'wild' flavor, suckers wildly as well.

I have been told that rust is a major problems with these Saskatchewan (Canada) cultivars, when grown in some areas of the U.S.

If you need any more information, I have a production manual produced by the University of Saskatchewan.

Good Luck,

Dean
