Hi,

How about putiing ant and spider dust under the tree during the time of
ripening when most attractive to ants.

Or give them something easier to eat (spoiled jam on the ground).

Lastly, a barrier. Tape a 6" width of tinfoil around the tree and spread
petroleum jelly on it. This too would only be during the ripening time.

Choose your weapon.
