Sadly, there are very few articles written about validated MSAR teams, especially about those teams that have active MOU’s with the primary mission for regional  SAR response. I will be getting a PDF of the article to share, once the next VHJ magazine comes out.  The nice thing about the VHJ article is that it was written by a (professional writer) non-MSAR person that knew very little about mounted SAR responders before writing the article.  She wrote the article based on regional research, current mission after action reports, team training logs, team mandates, government requirements and with numerous interviews of credentialed active duty Mounted SAR Technicians.  

 

Note: all the photos that were printed in the article are linked or associated to Virginia events that have a State issued SAR mission number.
