That depends in part on the amount of data being sent. Hence on the image
resolution,
number of frames per second, and data compression.

Range is a function of transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, and
wavelength. In the US amateur television has far greater operational range
than wireless webcam, but requires the operator to have an FCC license.
