We use saws to cut trees that are in the trail or are on the ground and in the way of operatins.

First, who lets you cut down trees?  We use a folding saw, up to 18 inch blade with rough cross cut teeth, haven’t counted but probably less than 10 to the inch.
There are also folding bow saws listed in most camping catalogs.
