Try doing a web search for cross cut saws.  The smallest cross cut is 3 Ft. and is designed for one or 2 man use.  However this is a serious saw (read serious price) and will do a bang up job.  You will probably have to make a scabbard for it.  Otherwise the only ones I have found that actually work are the chain saw teeth kind available at sporting goods outlets.  they only work up to about 18-20 inch diameter logs.  If you are getting into larger trees then you need a minimum of 3 feet.  If you think about it many hunting rifles that are carried on horseback are near that length.
Good luck and Happy sawing!!

Does anyone know of some type of trail saw with an eighteen to twentyfour
inch blade with scabord. I would like one with simular teeth as a bowsaw.
Most of the saws we carry are not up to the size of trees we routinely run
into.

Thanks
