In some areas you can also get POST certified instruction in tracking, and most should be able to provide NIMS / ICS and First Aid / First Responder.

North Georgia Mounted Patrol will host POST certification classes
in April. See http://www.eaglemountainstables.com/NGMP.htm, and
click "Show me photos of NGMP activities" for photos of past POST
trainings.

What is POST? Police Officer Standards and Training. POST is a
broad standards and training program designed for police officers.
Much of the POST curriculum is not relevant to most MSAR units,
apart from mounted training. The focus of this training is basic
riding proficiency, arena obstacle courses, and de-spooking.

There are POST commissions, councils, boards, and/or academies in
most (all?) states across the US.
