A market is only as good as those that run it.  I would also suggest you look for markets that sell to the local and not the snowbirds with an emphasis on "local in season and local business".  Find like minded farmers and do your own thing or find someone that is willing to take up that side of the market business.  A good manager who will visit farms and can handle marketing is worth their weight in gold.
