Market Farming readers:
I know about the admonitions to keep posts to this list brief, however, something like this topic - lyme disease - is just too important to be truncated.  Can more knowledgeable list serve people suggest a way for people who have been through lyme disease share info with the rest of us who worry about getting it?  The deer herd has exploded here.  I may have gotten 5 - 8 tick bites in 25 years until last year.  Last summer I took off  one or two ticks almost every day.  At first I kept them sealed in scotch tape but that got out of hand so I stopped.  What are the preventive measures and what are the early sign of the disease?  Many thanks to all of the posters who have contributed much to my knowledge base over the last couple years.  Tom (Central NC, waiting for mother nature to melt the snow away as farm work awaits.)

Hello list'
I am glad someone brought this up.  I have wanted to do this for a long time
but still felt too ill and tired to do it.  I have been in treatment for
Borreiosis which is lymes disease for 6 yr.  Now my husband has it too.  I
can't begin to tell you the horrors of this disease and how prevalent it is
aaaalllllllll over the world.  I am blessed enough to have found a LDMD that
is considered to be one of the best in the world right in good old Missouri!
Thank you God.  I was in remission but now it is back.  WE shall see how I
do.  I have been stubborn enough to keep working growing for 2 markets.

I could go on forever but know the list wants things short.  I am open to
receiving any emails about this.  I AM WARNING YOU ALL TO BE VERY CAREFUL
THIS YR WHEN YOU ARE OUTSIDE!  You can get bitten by nymph ticks and not
even know it.  Besides that research is now showing it to be in horse
flys, mosquitoes and other things.  If it is caught early it is very curable
if not so far not curable just controllable.  It is also very hard to detect
no test is accurate yet which makes many be misdiagnosed with ALS and MS and
Parkinson.
Also Missouri has a different form of it.  There are just different forms of
it.  Ours is call Stari Borreliosis.  Drs. are very ignorant about this
disease but becoming a bit more aware now.

That is enough said for now but please please be careful.  Email me if you
want to know anymore as I have lotsssss of info on this.
