Hello everyone,

I would like to have recommendation for two tools I am considering to
buy this winter.

First, I was considering to buy an electronic pH meter. Johnny's has
one made by Hanna for 100$. I am hoping to get more accurate reading
results than strip test kit, and save in the long run. Are there
anybody who own such a meter, and can comment on accuracy, durability
and ease-of-use? Any recommendation?

Second, I am looking to get a basic soil block maker to see how well
that work. I am thinking of a hand-operated one for 2" blocks first, to
experiment with a couple seedlings next season. Both Johnny's and
Peaceful Valley carry these for a reasonable price, but I would like to
source from Canada, if possible at all, to avoid custom and such (yes, I
am from the Great Frozen Waste). Does anyone know of a store that carry
soil block maker in Canada, and does mail order?

Many thanks!

Etienne, aspiring market farmer
